Admission Guidelines

1. Registration Fees and Prospectus:

  • The cost of the school prospectus is Rs. 1000/-.
  • Without registration, the entrance test will not be conducted.
  • Please ensure that you read the prospectus carefully and complete the admission form as per the instructions.
  • It is mandatory for parents/guardians to fill out the registration form themselves.

2. Admission Form Submission:

The admission form must be submitted on or before the entrance test date along with the following:

  • Attested copies of the student’s progress report card for the past three years (if applicable).
  • Five recent passport-size-coloured photographs of the child
  • Two black & white photographs of the child with their name and date of birth clearly mentioned.

3. Entrance Test and Interview Process:

  • Collect the date sheet for the entrance test and interview upon submitting the registration form.
  • The date and time for the entrance test will be informed by the admission in-charge on the same day as form submission.
  • The age requirement for admission is:

    • Nursery: 3 years
    • LKG: 4 years
    • UKG: 5 years
    • Grade 1st: 6 years

For students from Nursery to UKG, admission will be based on an interview only. For students applying for Grade 1 onwards, admission will be based on a written entrance test.

4. Entrance Test Day Instructions:

  • On the day of the entrance test, parents/guardians must accompany the child and bring the registration slip for the test.
  • The entrance test will take a maximum of 2 hours.
  • The child should bring their own writing materials, including a geometry box (for higher grades).

5. Result Declaration and Admission Confirmation:

  • The entrance test result will be declared within seven days of the test date.
  • Once the result is declared, parents/guardians must confirm the admission by completing the admission formalities within seven days.

6. Documents to be Submitted After Admission Confirmation:

Once the admission is confirmed, the following documents must be submitted by the parents/guardians:

  • Admission form
  • Medical form
  • Transport/ form (if applicable)
  • Five passport-size colour photographs of the child
  • Two passport-size black & white photographs of the child with name and date of birth mentioned
  • Three passport-size colour photographs of both parents/guardians
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Copies of the progress report cards for the last 3 years (as applicable)
  • Original Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Copy of Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Copy of Aadhar Card of the student
  • Copy of Aadhar Card of both parents/guardians
  • Copy of Samagra ID of the child
  • Copy of the bank passbook of the child/father/guardian (if applicable)
  • Copies of CBSE Board enrolment (for admission to Classes 10 and 12)
  • PEN no. issued by UDISE portal
  • Character Certificate (compulsory for students taking admission to Classes 9 to 12)

7. Provisional Admission:

  • If the Transfer Certificate (TC) or mark sheet is not available at the time of admission, provisional admission will be granted.
  • The mark sheet for the academic session 2024-25 and the TC must be submitted within 15 days of the result declaration.

8. Special Admission Guidelines for Classes 10 & 12:

  • Admissions to Classes 10 & 12 will be in accordance with CBSE rules.
  • Direct admissions to Classes 10 & 12 will only be granted up to 30th June 2025.

Fee Terms & Conditions:

    1. Admission Fee Payment:

  • The Admission Fee must be paid within seven days after the declaration of the entrance test result.
  • Admission Fee is non-refundable.
  • 2. Annual Charges:

  • The Admission Fee must be paid within seven days after the declaration of the entrance test result.
  • Admission Fee is non-refundable.
  • 3. Mode of Payment:

  • All fees are payable via Cheque/Cash/Net Banking/Demand Draft in favour of G.D. Goenka Public School, Bareilly. (Account details will be provided at the time of admission)
  • 4. Tuition Fee Payment:

    Tuition fees are to be paid on a quarterly basis in advance. The payment schedule is as follows:

  • First Quarter: 1st April - 10th April
  • Second Quarter: 1st July - 10th July
  • Third Quarter: 1st October - 10th October
  • Fourth Quarter: 1st January - 10th January
  • Any parent who wishes to pay fees by monthly instalments, then he must provide a written application to the principal, mentioning that the fees will be paid before 10th of every month without fail.

    A fine of Rs. 300/- per month will be charged for late submission of tuition fees, applicable to both school and transport fees.

    5. Late Fee Policy:

  • Any delay in payment of fees beyond three months may result in the student being struck off the school rolls.
  • Students with outstanding dues will not be permitted to sit for examinations or receive any official documents, including transfer certificates.
  • Cheques that are not cleared on the due date will incur a penalty of Rs. 200/- plus Rs. 50/- per day for delayed payment.
  • 6. Sibling Discount:

  • A 10% discount on tuition fees will be given to the second child of the same parent studying at G.D Goenka School.
  • 7. Full Payment Discount:

  • If the total fee for the full academic session is paid on or before 31st May or on the day of admission, a 10% discount will be granted on the full fee.
  • 8. Instalment Structure:

  • Although the tuition fee is meant for 10 months, it is divided into 12 equal instalments for convenience.
  • 9. Bus Charges:

  • Bus fees will be charged separately based on the distance and route and must be paid for 11 months.
  • 10. Additional Costs:

  • Fees do not include the cost of books, stationery, uniforms, or any optional activity fees, which will be charged separately.
  • 11. Nursery to UKG Fee Payment:

  • For classes Nursery to UKG, the first quarter fee must be paid within seven days of the entrance test result.

Withdrawal Rules:

    1. Withdrawal Application:

  • Parents wishing to withdraw their child from the school must submit a withdrawal application one month in advance. A No Dues Certificate must also be submitted.
  • 2. Fee Payment upon Withdrawal:

  • In the event of withdrawal during the academic year, the parent must pay the annual charge and the fees up to the month the student attended school.
  • 3. Notice Period:

  • Withdrawal becomes effective from the 1st of the nearest following month after submitting the written notice. If proper notice is not given, one month's fee will be charged in lieu of notice.
  • 4. Transfer Certificate:

  • Transfer Certificates will be issued within seven working days of receiving the withdrawal application and after clearance of all dues.
  • The school will issue a Transfer Certificate based on the data provided by the parents and the previous school.
  • 5. Provisional Admission & Transfer Certificate:

  • Provisional admission may be granted if the Transfer Certificate (TC) or mark sheet is unavailable at the time of admission. However, the documents must be submitted within 15 days of the result declaration.
  • 6. Special Rules for Classes 10 & 12:

  • Admissions to Classes 10 and 12 will follow CBSE rules, and direct admissions will be granted only until 30th June 2025.

Bus Rules:

    1. Bus Fee:

  • Bus fees are payable for 11 months and are based on the distance and route.
  • 2. Bus Facility Requests:

  • Requests for bus facility must be made at the beginning of the session. Requests will not be entertained mid-session.
  • 3. Parental Responsibility:

  • It is the sole responsibility of parents to ensure the safe drop-off and pick-up of their children from the designated bus stops. The bus facility is extended at the parents' risk.
  • 4. Bus Safety and Complaints:

  • Any suggestions or complaints regarding bus service should be reported to the Transport In-charge.
